Who this shoe is for:

Ideal user: Back country runners, ultralight trampers.

Ideal terrain: NZ national parks, tracks, DOC tracks, off trail, hike & climb.

A running shoe with an excellent amount of grip and comfort.

Do not buy this shoe if:

You intend on doing tramps over 5+ days without supplies (recommend boots for this). You want a hard surface runner, I feel the grip will be pointless on tarmac.

Pros:

  • ✅ Great grip
  • ✅ Great comfort
  • ✅ No laces

Cons:

  • ❌  Slightly heavier then some runners.

Field testing summary:

Terrain tested: Off trail, on trail, guiding, day to day life, overseas travel, river crossing.

Weather tested: Hail, Rain, coastal, alpine, indoor, snow, sun, sleet, climbing.

Distance or time worn: Minimum 90 days 450km

Durability is pretty good if you use the shoe the way it is meant to be though the terrain it is designed to be in no shoe will last for more then a couple of years of solid use.

Verdict:

Really solid runner to own that can be used in most conditions and terrain.
